Congratulations to Zheng Zenan, a 4 + 1 international student of WZBC, on receiving the Master's admission letter of TESOL from University College London (UCL). During her undergraduate period, Zheng Zenan studied hard and fought for his dream. In addition, she got a high score (7.5) of IELTS (Listening 8.5 Reading 8.5 Writing 6.5 Speaking 6.5).
University College London, or UCL for short, was founded in 1826 and is located in London, England. It is a world-renowned top university and a comprehensive research university with top reputation. It is the founding college of the University of London (UOL), and is known as the "G5 Super Elite University" with Cambridge University, Oxford University, Imperial College, London School of Economics and Political Science.
The university ranked 7th in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2017 and 3rd in the United Kingdom. It ranked 17th in ARWU of the world and 3rd in the UK in 2017. It Ranked 23rd in USnews of the world and 4th in the UK in 2017. In the UK's official 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF), UCL ranked 2nd in the UK, only second to Oxford University.
I am Zheng Zenan from Class 4 of English major. At present, I am not only this year’s graduate, but also a postgraduate who have received offers in education and media from 7 foreign universities. Among them, UCL ranks seventh in the world, and the education major I have been admitted to currently ranks first in the world.
I studied very hard and my GPA was 4.01. I got the highest score in the comprehensive evaluation of my class, won six first-class scholarships, the title of “Merit Student”, one second-class scholarship, two first-class scholarships in discipline competitions, provincial government scholarships and Gu Chaohao Scholarship, which is the highest level scholarship of Wenzhou University. Also, I was recommended as one of the outstanding graduates of Zhejiang Province.
At the same time, I focused on internships. I think that it is significant to apply what we have learned to practice. Every year, I will go to the company for internships, find out problems, and develop my ability to solve them . I am good at learning, always ask for advice modestly, and receive praise from colleagues and leaders. I used to be an IELTS teacher and was very popular with students. My monthly salary exceeded ten thousand. I used to work as a foreign trade salesman and business translator in a Chinese-Spanish company, and as a general manager secretary in China Resources (Holdings) Co., Ltd.
I attached great importance to developing my professional skills. I passed TEM4, got 7.5 in IELTS , got 633 in CET6 , and obtained the ZHC Professional Chinese Advanced Certificate, Shanghai Intermediate and Advanced Interpretation Certificate, BEC Certificate and other certificates in my college life.
Besides, I was successful in school-level, city-level, provincial-level, and national-level competitions: National Grand Prize, First and Second Prize in the Writing Contest; third prize of National College Student English Contest; third prize of National Interpretation Competition, and first prize of Professional Group of Wenzhou College Oral Contest. I showed myself, challenged myself, and constantly became a better self in the competition.
I have a lot of hobbies. I love playing the guitar, traveling, photography, planning, and editing. I love the colorful world and enjoy the beauty of life. I believe that everyone has a wonderful dream in their hearts.
