The latest WuShulian’s ranking lists of China’s private colleges in 2020 show that our college (WenZhou Business College or WZBC for short) has ranked first in two lists: the list of China’s leading private colleges and that of preferential colleges selected by students.
China’s leading private colleges are those with the highest degree of comprehensive index. In 2020, those with the title of China’s leading private colleges should rank the top 10% in the list of preferential colleges selected by students in reference to the overall evaluation. The order in the list is based on the quality of graduates, the innovative capacity of teachers and the teachers’ accomplishment, the weighted sum of those three indexes being the standard. The weighted sum is got through adding together the rankings of those three indexes: the quality of graduates accounts for 50% (its ranking figure is counted twice) while the innovative capacity of teachers and the teachers’ accomplishment accounts for 25% respectively and it would be better if the weighted sum is smaller.
Apart from the honor of ranking first in the list of China’s leading private colleges and that of preferential colleges selected by students, statistics of WuShulian’s ranking lists of China’s private colleges in 2020 also show that our college gains further achievements: the quality of graduates ranks sixth, the innovative capacity of teachers fifth and the teachers’ accomplishment second.

CETV, the most authoritative education media in China, fixed eyes on WZBC and broadcast the news documentary named Wenzhou Business College: The Model with a Strong Effort to Set up Entrepreneurship Education, which speaks highly of the revolutionary reward of our entrepreneurship education: for those 21 years, WZBC, as a newly-developed private college for undergraduate study, has persistently devoted to developing education in Wenzhou, the city of entrepreneurship; keeping pace with the times, the college has cultivated batches of new business talents with real skills as well as bravery to break though, thus producing “WZBC’s model” for the entrepreneurship education.

WuShulian, the head of the research group researching on “the evaluation of China’s colleges” in Chinese Academy of Management Sciences, presided over the research of “the evaluation of China’s private colleges and independent colleges in 2020” which was finished in August, 2020 and published in the book Choosing Your Idealistic College and Major—The Instruction on Voluntary Reporting 2020 (The Volume of Private Colleges and Independent Colleges) published by China Statistics Press.
WuShulian’s ranking lists of China’s private colleges in 2020, which are mainly based on colleges’ comprehensive strength and categories of subjects while partially based on high school graduates’ preference, the quality of graduates’ employment, proportion of students entering schools of further higher education, the overall quality of freshmen, the innovative capacity of teachers and the teachers’ accomplishment, introduce basic information of 175 China’s private college and provide credible reference for not only high school graduates but also those concerned with the education offered by China’s private colleges.
