On the morning of May 26, the first IELTS test center in southern Zhejiang— Wenzhou Business College Test Center, held the first test ceremony. Fang Xia (Director of Zhejiang Educational Examination Service Center), Wang Wanli (Deputy Director), Zeng Jinwu(Vice President of Wenzhou Educational Examination Institute), and Zhao Yalu(Head of Zhejiang Overseas Examination Center) attended the ceremony.
There are 33 test seats and 4 video speaking test rooms in WZBC’s computer-based test center, which can provide two kinds of services: general IELTS and IELTS for UKVI. The computer-based test mode has the advantages of fast scoring, flexible test dates, optional registration time, and intelligent test methods. In the future, candidates in Wenzhou and surrounding areas can choose a suitable test date and take the test nearby more conveniently .
It is reported that this test center is the second IELTS test center set up by the British Council in Zhejiang, and the first IELTS test center for UKVI in southern Zhejiang. At present, WZBC provides two test types of IELTS tests, including paper-based and computer-based test, both of which are located on the 4th floor of Building 3, North Campus. The normal test will be resumed from June 2.
On the same day, Tang Ruo( WZBC’s Vice President), Lv Wenwei(President Assistant and Dean of School of International Studies), and Xie Shimin(Executive Vice President of School of International Studies and Director of IELTS Test Center), attended the unveiling ceremony of the landmark of the test center. Some students participated in the first test. They felt good about the newly built computer-based test room, especially the bright waiting room. They hoped that good moods can also lead to good results.
