More than 400 teams and 3,000 college students have achieved a total sales of more than 2.8 million yuan. The 10th Wenzhou Creative Marketing Competition, which lasted for more than two months, came to an end in WZBC on the evening of June 19. It is reported that this competition has the largest number of participants, the widest participation area, and the largest number of school-enterprise cooperation enterprises, compared with previous competitions.
The Wenzhou University Student Creative Marketing Competition started in 2009. The cumulative number of applicants for previous competitions has exceeded 30,000, and it has become a widely acclaimed campus cultural brand event in Wenzhou universities. This year, a financial competition was added to tap financial marketing talents for financial institutions in Wenzhou, and build internship practices and employment channels.
Li Yiming, deputy secretary of WZBC’s party committee and vice president, said in his speech that the creative marketing competition set up by WZBC is a real stage for entrepreneurship, which aims to improve college students’ marketing practice ability and market awareness, and better temper their marketing expertise. It is hoped that the young people will dare to venture and try in the actual process of entrepreneurship, and actively participate in the wave of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, so that entrepreneurial practice will become a common practice in Wenzhou Business College.
After three stages of preliminary competition, quarter-finals and semi-finals, a total of 9 teams stood out from more than 400 teams. The Trendsetter Team did not give up when they first encountered difficulties. They won the trust of suppliers through offline research, established a customer base with high-quality services, and finally achieved sales of nearly 40,000 yuan. The Dream Team from School of Finance and Trade used the creative way of “posters + mini-games” to create a unique marketing model with customers driving customers. The Academic Exchange Team from School of International Studies is ingenious, starting with news broadcasts in the form of dialogues to tell entrepreneurial stories and expand sales groups to all generation.
After the several rounds of fierce competition, The Trendsetter Team won the first prize, and The Academic Exchange Team won the second prize. The Spark team, Bochuang Team, and Tomorrow Star Team won the third prize. The Light of Chuanyiguang, Chuangming Xinke and Seven won the Award of Excellence.
In the comment section, Ma Jiuxi, chairman of Wenzhou Heima Venture Capital Co., Ltd., praised the participating teams for fully carrying forward the “four thousand spirits” of Wenzhou merchants, reflecting the entrepreneurial spirit of Wenzhou people — dare to be the first in the world. He also sent a message to the contestants that learn to build brands, rationally use marketing methods, and accurately position products, start from practice, go all out, and fully apply theoretical knowledge to the market and users.
Deputy director of the Financial Stability Division of the Wenzhou Finance Office Zhang Jiming, WZBC’s leader Hu Jiang, the secretaries of the youth league committees of schools, some college-enterprise cooperation representatives, the guidance teachers of the Innovation Association, and the heads of relevant functional departments of WZBC attended the final of the competition.
