“What are the requirements for grade points and IELTS?” “How long is the schooling? Are there any scholarships?” In front of each booth, there were lots of students who came to consult and communicate face to face with the admissions officers of overseas universities. On the afternoon of May 17, the 2023 International Education Exhibition of WZBC kicked off in the School of International Studies. Officials from the Consulate General of New Zealand in Shanghai and big names in the British education industry delivered keynote speeches. Vice President of WZBC Tang Ruo attended the event and delivered a speech.

At the opening ceremony, Tang Ruo thanked the principals of the partner universities who came from all over the world, and hoped that the students would seize this rare opportunity to fully communicate with the experts face-to-face and make full preparations for studying abroad in the future. In her speech, Mariann Baker, Admissions Officer of the University of West London, warmly welcomed the students of Wenzhou Business College to apply for further studies in British universities. Xu Huaying, International Promotion Officer of the Consulate General of New Zealand in Shanghai, gave the lecture titled “A New Journey for Studying Abroad to broaden a Global Vision”. Albert Wolfe, an associate professor at the University of Central Lancashire in the UK, delivered a lecture on the theme of “Do as the Romans do”, sharing the daily life of studying abroad, allowing students present to experience the living environment and cultural atmosphere of studying abroad in advance.

It is reported that this international education exhibition is divided into two phases, and more than 50 overseas colleges and universities from 8 countries on four continents participated in the exhibition. The first education exhibition had a main venue and branch venues, attracting a total of 25 overseas institutions to participate, including many world-renowned universities such as the University of Auckland in New Zealand, the University of Waikato in New Zealand, the University of Bath in the UK, the University of Reading in the UK, and the Macquarie University in Australia, etc.

Chen Shuaiting, a 2022 student majoring in finance, said: “This event has helped me a lot, and it has answered some doubts about studying abroad. I plan to take the language proficiency test this summer to prepare for the application for studying abroad next year. ”

On the same day, the University of Central Lancashire, Sheffield Hallam University, University of Sunderland, University College Birmingham, University of Chichester, Heriot-Watt University and other institutions issued pre-admission offers to some students on the spot, which brought students present great jubilation.

It is reported that the second phase of the International Education Exhibition is scheduled to be held on May 24. At that time, more than 30 overseas institutions from eight countries on four continents will participate, including the University of Queensland in Australia, and Yonsei University in South Korea, both of which are ranked top 100 in the QS world, .
