Vice President Tang extended a warm welcome on behalf of all the faculty and students to Professor Bob Cryan and his delegation. She introduced the basic situation of WZBC and the cultivation of artistic talent rooted in Wenzhou's business culture. She then discussed the progress and expectations of collaborative projects between the two universities, emphasizing the principles of "shared talent development, resource sharing, mutual complementary, and mutual learning" to deepen international cooperation and jointly outline a development blueprint.

Professor Bob Cryan expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He made a brief introduction of Huddersfield University, including its educational philosophy, developments in various academic disciplines and industry-academic integration. He fully affirmed the prior collaboration between the two institutions and expressed a desire for mutual exchange of cutting-edge research results and teaching methods to further strengthen multi-dimensional international cooperation.

During the discussion, both universities delved into topics related to collaborative education, student exchange, and academic exchanges. They focused on finding reform entry points from key and challenging areas. They aimed to explore innovative approaches to nurture internationally competent professionals and reached detailed discussions on establishing the Huddersfield University Chinese Language Center and Examination Center at WZBC. This initiative is intended to enhance the language proficiency of students, broaden their choices for language programs, and establish a convenient pathway for further education, ultimately paving the way for a more comprehensive "study abroad service" channel. Preliminary consensus was also reached on launching a joint educational program in product design.

It's worth noting that international collaborative education is an important form of cooperation between universities. It not only provides students with broader learning and development opportunities,  but also facilitates mutual learning and the exchange of best practices in teaching methods, curriculum design, and practical experiences. After the discussion, Huddersfield University presented WZBC with the Strategic Partner Award to recognize and support the close communication and collaboration between both sides over the years, with hopes of expanding cooperation in talent development, academic programs, and knowledge transfer.

During their visit, Professor Bob Cryan and his delegation also toured our campus and were impressed by the pleasant campus landscape, rich campus culture, internationalization of the college and the unique regional design products of the School of Media and Art Design. The attendees from Huddersfield University included Chen Jia (the Chief Representative for their China region), Li Xue (Director of Business Expansion and Admissions in the Eastern region), and Wei Yongxiang(Deputy Director of the China Office). The representatives of WZBC included Wu Yao(Dean of School of Media and Art Design), Li Xiaotao(Deputy Dean of School of International Studies), and Dong Ningning(Assistant Dean of School of International Studies).
