On November 22nd, Tang Ruo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, accompanied by relevant officials of the School of International Studies, were invited to Shanghai to meet with Kim Eklund, Head of Greater China, Celia Yu, Head of Central China, the education group where Curtin University Singapore campus is located, and Dennis Han, Head of UA92, Lancaster University, UK. The visit aimed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two universities and to explore the potential for future collaboration in international education and research. The college expressed its aspiration to establish close ties with Curtin University’s Singapore campus and Lancaster University, working together to advance the development of international education.

During the discussions, both sides reviewed the progress of exchanges and student recruitment since the establishment of the partnership and engaged in forward-looking discussions on potential directions and areas for future collaboration. 

Tang Ruo expressed appreciation for the achievements of Curtin University’s Singapore campus and UA92 programme of Lancaster University in the field of international education. She also introduced in detail the remarkable achievement of our college in education and teaching, scientific research and innovation, international education and other aspects in recent years. As the only business-focused undergraduate institution serving the regions of southern Zhejiang, northern Fujian, and eastern Jiangxi, our college is dedicated to cultivating application-oriented business talents with a global perspective. With abundant teaching resources and advanced educational philosophies, the university emphasises the integration of theory and practice, actively promotes its international education strategy, and has achieved outstanding results in the field of global education.

Dennis Han, Head of Lancaster University’s UA92 programme expressed that Wenzhou Business College’s experience in entrepreneurship education and international cooperation is highly commendable and worth learning from. He hoped that the two sides could engage in more substantive collaborations across a wider range of fields. Additionally, he emphasized the complementary strengths of the two universities in business education, believing that by sharing resources and leveraging their respective advantages, both parties could further enhance the quality of teaching and research.

Kim Eklund, Head of Greater China for the education group hosting Curtin University’s Singapore campus, also expressed his anticipation of deepening the collaborative relationship between the two institutions. He noted that strengthening exchanges and cooperation could effectively promote mutual benefits in academic research and talent cultivation.
