In the afternoon of 7th November, Julio Ca?ero Serrano, Vice President of International Relations, Ignacio Bravo Mu?oz, Director of International Division, Ye Yuhong and Liu Qiaoming, Chinese Representatives, and their entourage from the University of Alcalá (Spain) visited our college to formally establish the friendship and co-operation relationship between the two universities. Vice President Tang Ruo, Dean of the School of International Studies Cao Jiang and representatives of teachers and students of School of International Studies attended the signing ceremony.

At the meeting, Tang Ruo and Mr Julio Ca?ero Serrano delivered speeches on behalf of the two universities, introducing the histories, current situations, university characteristics and future development plans of their respective universities, and reaching a consensus on the establishment of long-term and stable co-operation between the two universities.

Mr Julio Ca?ero Serrano also exchanged views with teachers and students on education concepts, teaching methods, student exchanges, and so on. Ignacio Bravo Mu?oz gave a detailed introduction of the University of Alcalá's further education programmes, including curriculum, admission criteria, scholarship policy, and looked forward to in-depth co-operation with WZBC in more areas.

At the signing ceremony, Tang Ruo and Mr Julio Ca?ero Serrano, as representatives of the two universities, signed the co-operation agreement and exchanged souvenir gifts. In the future, our college and the University of Alcalá will join forces to promote the sharing and optimisation of educational resources, promote exchanges and co-operation among teachers, provide students with richer learning resources and broader development platforms, and work together to cultivate high-quality and applied talents with an international outlook and the ability of intercultural communication.

Before the meeting, the entourage of the University of Alcalá visited the Entrepreneurship Education Hall of the College and expressed "quite impressive" to the characteristics of Entrepreneurship Education of the College, and said that the entrepreneurial culture atmosphere of the College and the entrepreneurial spirit of the students are worth learning from, as well as looking forward to strengthening in-depth co-operation and exchanges in the future.

Founded in 1499, the University of Alcalá is located in Alcalá, the hometown of the great Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, whose masterpiece Don Quixote is one of the world's literary treasures. The University of Alcalá played a pioneering role in the European Renaissance and in Spanish Humanism, channelling much-needed talent to the Spanish Crown, and was an important driving force in Spain's move towards the Golden Age.
