With joy and excitement, we warmly welcome our new students. From September 18 to 19, Wenzhou Business College is expecting over 6,800 freshmen. In preparation for their arrival, all departments and secondary schools have meticulously organized and cooperated to implement the school's educational philosophy of providing "optimal student services" at every step of the orientation process.

On the first day of registration, university leaders, including Zhou Xiangzhe, Zhao Bo, Ma Xiaodong, Tang Ruo, Hu Jiang, and Xie Shimin, visited the registration site to oversee the situation. They urged heads of various departments and secondary schools to ensure that volunteer services are always available to guide the freshmen in an orderly manner. The university leaders also took the time to warmly greet the parents, introducing them to the campus culture, infrastructure, and directions to the dormitories.

At dawn, staff members and volunteers were already in place, ready to assist. From greeting students at the entrance, helping with luggage, assisting with registration, introducing the campus, and answering questions, the volunteers’ enthusiasm grew with the rising temperature. The vibrant "red vests" could be seen moving around every corner of the campus.

To ensure the safety and smooth flow of registration, our university set up reception points at Wenzhou Longwan International Airport and Wenzhou South Railway Station, offering shuttle services that bring students directly to the campus. The Security Department also managed traffic around the campus entrance, while six shuttle buses and five internal school buses were arranged to provide a "one-stop" service, from arrival to accommodation. Notably, this year's registration process introduced facial recognition for efficient and accurate student check-ins.

At the registration stations, each school prepared unique gifts for the freshmen. In addition to creative items with distinctive school characteristics and tote bags, the School of Information Engineering provided a hand-drawn list of "Ten Things to Do as a Freshman." The School of Media and Art Design handed out Wenzhou Business College postcards and exclusive "Qianxiangcheng" experience cards. The School of Management even placed a refrigerator at the registration site to offer cool refreshments to freshmen, their parents, and volunteers under the scorching sun.

Tang Haonan, a student from Huzhou, Zhejiang, chose Wenzhou Business College due to his passion for sports and the new leisure sports program offered by the school. "The facilities and overall environment here are excellent, and the senior students are very welcoming. I hope to make the most of my university life and pass the CET-4 and CET-6 exams in my first year," he shared.

It is a meeting of destiny, one that brings both the new students and Wenzhou Business College together. Fu Boyuan from Zhoushan, Zhejiang, arrived with his parents, who were full of praise. "It was a happy coincidence that brought us to Wenzhou Business College. The campus environment, greenery, and facilities exceed our expectations, and we feel confident leaving our child here." Parents from Henan, Hangzhou, and other places echoed these sentiments, saying that young people’s attitudes towards the future should be as vibrant and enthusiastic as the volunteer services at our university.

"Volunteering is about spreading kindness to others." This year, two special "freshman volunteers," Xu Shiyi and Wang Haoze, both from the "4+1" Artificial Intelligence program, participated in the international elite program’s summer camp, where they became familiar with campus life. Now, they have chosen to contribute their efforts to this year's orientation activities, hoping that the new students will also experience the beauty of campus life.

Next to the registration point, Jiang Leyang, a 2023 Craft Arts major student, donned an astronaut suit, sharing the story behind the college’s mascot. He hopes that with the experience he gained from volunteering in his freshman year, he can help more students and guide them to integrate into the campus environment more smoothly. "University is a fresh and exciting chapter. I hope the freshmen will wholeheartedly pursue and enjoy every unforgettable moment of their university life and build a bright future."

Love is all around Wenzhou Business College, regardless of nationality. Our foreign faculty members, Anthony William Donald Anastasi, Soo-Yeon Kim, Ignacio Jose Miambres Garcia, and Mateja Risti, warmly welcomed the freshmen, congratulating them on joining our beautiful campus. They encouraged the new students to actively immerse themselves in Chinese culture and contribute to maintaining the international atmosphere. Heartwarmingly, the foreign teachers wished the freshmen a happy start in both Chinese and their native languages!

The anti-fraud campaign, jointly organized by the Wenzhou and Ouhai District Anti-Fraud Center, Chashan Police Station, Hangzhou Bank Branch, and Wenzhou Business College Security Department, also took place at the orientation site. The campaign combined online live streaming with offline interactive games to raise awareness about anti-fraud measures. "The anti-fraud activities organized by the school are not only fun but also highly educational. By participating, I learned about common fraud tactics and how to prevent the hidden risks around us," shared Chen Yixuan, a Digital Economy major from the School of Financial Trade.
